Our Story — OLDBAC

Early build, Estonia
Workshop, Tallinn, Estonia
Pininfarina wind tunnel, Torino
Kalana at speed
Tahkuna prototype render

It started in a garage. Four parking spots. No funding, no team. Just the decision to build.

Estonia 2015

Every skill was learned because the car needed it. The workshop became a factory on the Baltic coast.

Tallinn, Estonia 2022

Tested at the Pininfarina Wind Tunnel in Torino. Impressive downforce level.

Pininfarina, Torino 2023

Three circuit lap records. The first race was run on a barely-tested car. The team proved what they could build.

Bikernieki, Riga 2024

The next machine is already in development. One mountain. One attempt.

Tahkuna 2025

What Has Been Built

Founded by Tõnis Vanaselja in Estonia. No factory backing. No outside investment. Every skill required was developed in-house.

Over a decade the programme has grown from a shed to a full workshop, from a sketch to a carbon fibre monocoque, from a concept to three circuit lap records and a Pikes Peak entry in development.

  4. Three circuit lap records Porsche Ring record set and then improved; Bikernieki circuit record set — individual events, 2023–2024
  5. Pikes Peak programme Tahkuna prototype design and engineering underway. Target: Unlimited class, overall record — 2024

Independent Proof

Pininfarina called the downforce level impressive. ERR News covered the Porsche Ring record. The Oldbac Kalana has its own Wikipedia entry. Carrozzieri Italiani named it the most exciting motorsport development in Northern Europe.

The claims on this site are verifiable. The car exists. The records are public. The programme is real.
